Pokemon GO Upgrade Items and Components
An upgrade item is an item that makes certain Pokemon change. The upgrade can be obtained by spinning a photo disc. It's sometimes given as a prize at Pokemon GO events.
The Upgrade can also be put in armor, weapons trinkets, and gathering tools to increase their item level. The upgrade costs Flightstones or crests depending on the kind of item.
Upgrade components
Upgrade components can be inserted into trinkets, weapons, armors and gathering tools in order to provide attributes bonuses or other effects when the equipment is being used. The equipment being upgraded must have an available upgrade slot to accept the component, and the majority of upgrade components require the item being upgraded to be above the specified level. Some upgrade components also have special visual effects when they are applied to an item. Upgrade components can be obtained through crafting, purchased by Karma merchants, or traded with other players through the Trading Post. They can also be rescued from equipment and received as rewards.
A variety of upgrade components are available, each providing various bonuses. item upgrading as gems and inscriptions can be applied to any type of equipment. They provide fewer bonuses than the other types of upgrade component. Infusions are used in non-amulet ascended equipment as well as legendary equipment, while enhancements are used to upgrade certain items that have been ascended. The majority of upgrade components can be replaced if they are slotted into an item, however doing so destroys the previous upgrade. There are exceptions for glyphs (which can only be inserted into gathering tools) and enchantments, which can be removed and put back in.
Insignias and enchantments will be displayed their names on the hover display of the item, while prefix and suffix upgrades will add their names to the end of the equipment name (e.g. for example, a Radiant Insignia on Tyrian Armor would change the name to Radiant Tyrian Armor). Glyphs
Glyphs can be used to add decorative and functional elements to an OpenType font. These include ligatures, fractions, or ornaments, as well as registered trademark symbols such as ellipses, swashes, and swashes. Once a Glyph has reached the level 15, it can be upgraded using the Glyph Upgrade Altar. The upgrade of a Glyph increases its radius on the Paragon Board by one node every 15 levels.
When a Glyph is at the desired level, it is possible to activate it. Select it and then click the "enchant button". The resulting Glyph will give its stated benefit, and boost other nodes within its area on the Paragon Board. It's important to place Glyphs in the best locations to benefit your game, which is why it's recommended to prioritize Magic Glyphs early on. The glyphs that are rare may offer dual bonuses if certain conditions are fulfilled, so they're worth looking out for too.
If you're having difficulty finding a particular glyph click the cycle widget on the Glyphs panel to display the panel in a number of views. Each view will display the Glyphs using a different font. You can narrow down the list of glyphs further by choosing an option below "Entire Font": for instance, punctuation shows only punctuation glyphs, while Math Symbols narrows the choice to mathematical symbols.
Rerolling

Certain items, such as Goldwrap and Whistan's Shield (both BiS) that are often used, could require an upgrade to boost their value. It may be worth it to upgrade these items.
